Coaching Skills
The programme has been specifically designed for managers and team leaders to further enhance their management excellence and develop coaching skills which they can apply to their day to day activities.
The course is very interactive and tailored to the managers needs. It will consist of short presentations of coaching concepts, whole group discussions, small group activity and live coaching practice. To enable maximum benefit from the coaching we recommend "real" issues as coaching topics and have found that this approach gives greater engagement and benefit to the coaching that the manager will undertake during the two days.
During the two days the manager will acquire the knowledge and skills for the following objectives: " Develop a framework for effective coaching. " Identify their own development needs in relation to coaching. " Identify appropriate coaching opportunities. " Shape their coaching style to the learner. " Have the knowledge and skill to plan, practice and evaluate coaching sessions.
By the end of the two days the managers will have gained additional knowledge and skill to help them: " Identify the boundaries between coaching, mentoring and counselling. " Consider "what gets in the way" of coaching. " Build relationships and rapport. " Give and receive high quality feedback. " Communicate at a deeper level. " Experience a coaching model
